Could putting people in each other shoes be a solution to end racism? 

A public school teacher, Jane Elliot, came up with a real social experiment (known as the brown eye, blue eye experiment) as a tool to fight back against racist behaviors. She first unfolded it in her own classroom after the shocking assassination of Martin Luther King. Watch how it unfolds on Oprah show with grownups. This is food for thought.
