Would you pay more taxes to be happier?

People in Denmark, including immigrants, are reportedly the happiest people  in the world according to the World Happiness Report 2018.

Happy to pay at least 50% income taxes, they enjoy free education, free child care, free health care, $20 minimum wage, extended social benefits for those in need, lowest homeless and crime rates, and much more.

I believe their best happiness factor is by far their work-life balance with having enough family time.

Is there something the rest of us could learn and apply anywhere we live? Food for though.
